Red Carpet Manicure’s celebrity manicurist/brand ambassador Lisa Logan collaborated with fashion designer Christian Siriano to create a nail art design for New York Fashion Week.

The models flaunted the look (shown) at Siriano’s Spring 2014 runway show last Saturday, September 7th. (See the larger photo on Beauty Packaging’s Facebook page).

The nail design was a custom, color-block manicure that highlighted the theme of the fashion collection – but it was a subtle contrast.

Logan prepped each nail with “Fake Bake” for a base color, and intricately color blocked the nail with small boxes made with “The Perfect Pair,” underneath which she layered “White Hot,” adding an extra pop to the neon yellow.

“After seeing the colors and prints and collaborating with Christian, I knew we had to do something that was as dramatic and powerful in the lightest way possible to match the collection itself,” said Logan.

Christian Siriano’s Spring 2014 collection is primarily inspired by a recent trip to Mexico’s Isla Mujures, which translates to ‘the island of women.’ Siriano was influenced by the shapes and imagery of grass-lined huts, picturesque color-blocked residential streets, stonework and the locally abundant dahlia.
